Schooling Series Info

Our first event is well in the works!! Its been very exciting to see the work at Valkyrie’s Haven. We had a work day with Lenny Courtemanche lending his expertise in guiding and course planning. Thank-you, Lenny and others who helped out. We will be making a final set-up of the dressage ring and the cones course as we get closer to May 7.

I would like to emphasize that this is an educational event with ADS guidelines. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the sport of driving and to give your horse/pony some experience. This is a casual event to get your “feet wet”; ask questions of mentors and for those who already compete, a nice opportunity to get back into the swing of things.

For the first event in the summer series, only Dressage and Cones will have scoring. There is a wonderful course laid out for a lovely 6 km. drive with the opportunity to school; no scoring or timing will be held for x-country at this event. But again, great exposure for drivers and their horse/pony.

As always, thank-you so much to those who volunteer! It couldn’t happen without hours devoted to this. There will be more opportunities to volunteer. If you are planning on attending this event, please bring along family and/or friends to help out as well as pitching in once that you are finished driving.  Sign up to volunteer HERE.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone; especially after the last two years!!     Carrie has set up an online registration and don’t forget about your Coggins!! More details in a pdf file HERE

Thank-you,

Ann Katona
