Halloween Drive at Shaker Village – Oct. 24

Much to our chagrin, 2020 has not been kind to our activities and
events. Using the COVID-19 restrictions, we were able to have
the drives at Hillcroft Farm and Valkyrie’s Haven. Even though
the weather didn’t cooperate, we had cones and dressage at
Coach House Farm. The qualifying Coach House Derbies went
on as scheduled, but the pandemic took a toll on the attendance
for those events.

Your Executive Board has chosen to make it up to you through
the Halloween Drive at Shaker Village. Normally, each driver or
rider has to pay a fee to participate, but Spokes and Spurs will pay
each persons participation fee on Saturday, October 24, 2020. (In
case of weather problems, we will reschedule this event.)

You don’t have to sign up or fill out anything. Just show up, get
tacked up, and be ready to drive or ride by 10:00 a.m. If you
would like to have some social time after the drive, you will need
to distance and bring your own lunch. We still will require that
when not driving or riding, you must wear a mask and social
distance. You may remove your masks while driving or riding and
of course while eating.

This should be a beautiful time to drive with all the fall color. If
you have never driven at Shaker Village, near Harrodsburg, you
are in for a treat. For those of us that have driven there before,
we know how wonderful it is!
