Hillcroft Farm Drive Is On!!! June 13, 2020
As promised, James and Misdee Miller are generously opening their farm
to Spokes and Spurs members on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Todd Draheim
is busily preparing for that special day. He will be mowing a trail
that will include several obstacles for drivers to practice. In order
to hold this drive and comply with COVID-19 quarantine reopenings,
Todd is arranging the following:
1. First, and foremost: All participating in this drive, please
reply by email to David Gaston at spokesandspursky@gmail.com
immediately. Please state how many in your party and an approximate
time you wish to drive. This is very important because Todd will make
up a schedule for your time of start on the trail. This is not only
for COVID-19 spacing, but to keep all participants and equines safe
from tie ups and accidents. All participants will be notified in
advance for their scheduled times.
2. When you arrive, use the gate on Tarr Road that leads to the polo
barns. If you need directions for this, request them in your email to
David Gaston and he will provide the necessary directions. Please
arrive in plenty of time to tack up and be ready at your start time.
Todd and personnel will meet you near the polo barn and direct you
where to park. Please do not park on your own. This is for drivers
to park providing enough room for tacking up and keeping spacing for
social distancing.
You will be provided with a special waver from Hillcroft Farm to sign.
3. DO NOT go into barns and facilities at Hillcroft.
4. The same COVID-19 rules given for the Thorsten Zarembowicz clinics
also apply. If you skipped over that part, go back and read
carefully. Yes, you must wear masks at all times while you are on the
property.
Todd will also provide some outdoor washing stations for your horses
and ponies.
As you can see, Hillcroft Farm is going to a lot of work in order for
us to have a wonderful drive. Don’t forget to send in your
reservation immediately.
